Why should I use natural handmade soap instead of commercial soap?
Commercial soaps are not truly "soap" - they are detergents made from non-desirable ingredients. If you look at bar soaps in the stores they are noy labeled as soap, but often as "beauty bars", "deodorant bars" or "bath bars". Oftentimes they contain synthetic chemicals to make the bar harder faster, reducing soap scum, adding lather, inexpensive fillers, synthetic scents and colors.
These synthetic chemicals tend to dry the skin. Irish Twins Soap Co. does not contain ANY of these unnecessary ingredients. We offer only high-quality soaps that are good for you and good for the earth.
Commercial soaps are made using some of the cheapest ingredients possible, even petroleum by-products. These cheap ingredients simply do not have the same benefits as pure natural ingredients. Our ingredients are more expensive, but we are dedicated to the high quality benefits from using the good stuff.
Is Irish Twins Soaps safe to use for eczema, psoriasis, acne, or rosacea?
Yes! Many people who suffer from these conditions have found that when they discontinue the use of products that contain harsh chemicals, synthetic fragrances, and irritating dyes and colorants that their conditions improve and clear up. Our soaps have skin-loving ingredients - you'll notice a difference.
Do you make the natural handmade soap, spa and homekeeping products?
Indeed we do! Irish Twins Soap Co. makes all of our soap, spa and homekeeping products in small batches for the highest quality.
Do you use synthetic fragrances or colors?
No go on ANYTHING synthetic or artifical in our products. Irish Twins Soap Co. insists on all natural ingredients...and we're stickin to it! Labratory studies have shown that FDA approved dyes and colorants may contain carcinogens. They can also be the cause of irritated skin. We use clays, herbs, botanicals, and edible ingredients for our colorants...always.
What is the best way to care for your products?
Irish Twins Soap Co.'s handmade soap & spa products are made from natural ingredients and can be good for a year or more but are best used within 6 months of purchase. When not in use, store all of our products is in a cool place away from humidity and direct or strong sunlight.
How long will handmade soap last when in use?
Depents on frequency of use, and how much and how hard you scrub the bar. We recommend using a soap dish to drain water away from the soap and allowing the soap to dry completely between uses. With proper care, Irish Twins Soaps will grace you with many luxurious showers and baths.
Does Irish Twins Soap Co. accept custom orders?
Yes. Please contact us and we'll see how we can help. Custom orders work well for school fundraisers, etc. Custom orders must be for 40+ bars of the same soap per order. Curing time is typically 4 weeks, so a 5 week lead time is required + 50% non-refundable payment up front.
Does Irish Twins Soap Co. sell Wholesale?
Yes, we offer our soaps at wholesale quantities and prices to selected and qualified businesses. You must be a licensed business, have a resale license and agree to Irish Twins Soap Co. wholesale terms and conditions. For more information, please give us a call 605-351-9564.
Does Irish Twins Soap Co. have a retail store?
Yes... We have a brick and motar store in downtown Beresford, 121 N. Third Street. We are open 10 - 5, Thurs - Sat.
Our soaps can be found at various other retailers, our website, occasionally at the Vermillion Area Farmer's Market, craft shows and several grocery stores.

We will not share, sell or otherwise provide your contact or other personal information to anyone else.
What does Irish Twins Soap Co. look for in their suppliers?
With thorough web research and company interviews, we examine suppliers for quality and sustainable practices. We purchase ingredients locally when available, from family-owned businesses that share similar values. Some of our ingredients like hemp seed oil are not available in the US.
